“Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness. If, in our heart, we still cling to anything—anger, anxiety, or possessions—we cannot be free." Thich Nhat Hanh.

I fell into the physical practice of yoga, in my mid 20’s by starting a daily practice on my mat alone in my bedroom. I knew that I needed a change because of how much I was suffering in all areas of my life. What I didn’t realize was how much anxiety, postpartum depression and stress was a impacting me as a mom, a friend, in my career and in the relationships. Continuing on my wellness journey I’ve discovered a variety of different forms of holistic healing techniques that have helped transform my life physically, emotionally and spiritually. Being able to experience and live the actually shifts is what led me down the path of practicing and teaching trauma informed yoga. There is no cure all for stress and anxiety or any other stressors in life but meditation, mindfulness and yoga are skills to help navigate all the ups and downs. Its a transformative approach for healing mental health challenges, addiction and trauma that has impacted life and tools to use to prevent things like burn out. It has become my passion to help people cope with all of it. This line of work has allowed me to meet and work with all kinds of people, especially moms who struggle with postpartum, those in recovery, and people with PTSD and suffering from mental health challenges. Through energy work, physical movement, and yoga I’m grateful every day to be able to help people change their lives, by making yoga accessible to all.
